VLPP-1002 Vinyl Lacquer Pre-Plate Station

In the vinyl record stamper production process, pre-plating provides a thin nickel base layer over the silver-metalized lacquer disk prior to electroplating the full-thickness nickel layer that forms that “father” stamper. (And after which the lacquer is discarded for recycling.) Experts in vinyl production technology consider this intermediate plating step at lower current and heat an important one that provides higher quality and fewer defects in the final electroplating stage.
